Jason Kelce has a spit take!
The retired Philadelphia Eagles star shared his opinion about the first few seconds of the Eagles-Dallas Cowboys game — and he didn’t hold back.
“This is the most wild start to an NFL season of all time,” Kelce wrote on X. “First play of the game, one player is carted off, the other ejected.”
After Eagles fullback Ben VanSumeren injured his knee on the opening kickoff, defensive tackle Jalen Carter then spit on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott ahead of the next play.
Kelce, 37, who spent 13 seasons in NFL locker rooms then added: “I mean everyone knows you don’t spit, you swallow obvi.”
The former Eagles center got a mixed reaction in the comments from his NSFW comment.
“Weird thing to say,” wrote one person, while another added about the father of four’s remarks: “Jason typing Jason thoughts. 😂”

Later, during the extended weather delay in which the broadcast showed a replay of the incident and it was determined that Prescott was the first spitter, and had launched a loogie in the direction of Carter, Kelce backed up his initial comment.
“And the truth shall set you free,” the Monday Night Countdown analyst wrote on X.
After the game in which the Eagles eked out a 24-20 win, the Cowboys signal-caller attempted to clear up what led to what some on social media to call “Spitgate,” calling into question the notion that he would spit on someone.
“I actually said words like, ‘Why the hell would I’ — excuse me, but probably even more colorful — ‘what would I need to spit on you for?’ He just spit on me in that moment, it was more of a surprise than anything,” Prescott told reporters.
The veteran QB added that he was “pretty sure [Carter] knows that I didn’t try to spit on him or wasn’t even aiming to spit on him” and that he doesn’t wish that any player get ejected — even though the Cowboys’ offense initially exploited the absence of one of the league’s best defensive players.
