‘The Naked Gun,’ ‘Nobody 2,’ + More
This week’s new movies on VOD include the ridiculously fun Naked Gun remake from director Akiva Schaffer, and Bob Odenkirk’s return as the assassin formerly known as “Nobody” in Nobody 2.
Keeping with the action-comedy, you can also catch Heads of State starring John Cena and Idris Elba as the bickering U.S. President and U.K. Prime Minister who are forced to team up against a foreign adversary threatening them both. That film was previously only available on Prime Video, but it arrived for sale on digital platforms this week.
These are just a few of the films that are available to watch on Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, YouTube, and through your cable service this week. Check out what movies are available to buy or rent on demand now.
In the 2025 Naked Gun reboot, Liam Neeson stars as Frank Drebin, Jr., the heir apparent to Leslie Nielsen’s legendary bumbling cop Frank Drebin from the three previous Naked Gun films and the Police Squad! TV series. Neeson gamely blends diarrhea jokes with deadpan detective work, and his co-star Pamela Anderson is perfectly cast as his love interest. It’s just too bad their threesome with a snowman didn’t work out. The film is available on digital now.
Bob Odenkirk returns as Hutch Mansell, a former assassin turned family man in the action-packed, butt-kicking Nobody 2. Most of the first film’s cast – Connie Nielsen, RZA, Christopher Lloyd – return for this film, too, and they’re joined by John Ortiz, Colin Hanks and Sharon Stone who play Hutch’s new adversaries.
