Don’t drop the ball, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce!

Erin Andrews spoke with PEOPLE exclusively about the Kansas City Chiefs stars’ new steakhouse, 1587 Prime, and shared the one major request she has for the dynamic duo ahead of the restaurant’s opening night.

First and foremost, the sports broadcaster, 47, praised the star quarterback, 29, and his tight end counterpart, 35, for their multi-hyphenate talents, doubling as standout athletes on the field and businessmen away from it.

“It doesn’t surprise me at all,” she tells PEOPLE of Mahomes and Travis opening a restaurant. “They’re two of the sharpest guys I’ve been around, why they can totally be successful off-the-field, which both of them have proved to be.”

Andrews, a multi-talent herself who’s been tapped as a trend expert for Glade’s Pumpkin Debate campaign that coincides with the start of both football and fall, previously shared to her Instagram Stories the special invite she was sent by the duo.

“I’m excited. Their gift box was amazing,” she shares. “I have it displayed here in my office. It’s an autographed football from the both of them. That’s worth something and also incredible.”

The Fox Sports sideline reporter, who’s worked alongside Mahomes and Kelce a number of times over the course of her accomplished career, then went on to praise their kindness both as players and people away from the game.

“I’m just a huge fan of who those guys are on and off-the-field,” she says, noting, “They’ve always just been so sweet and supportive to me. So yeah, I can’t wait to go support them and I can’t wait to drink a martini on 15 and 87, it’s going to be great.”

However, Andrews — who’s also co-host of the Calm Down With Erin and Charissa podcast — shared with PEOPLE the one warning she has for Mahomes and Kelce ahead of 1587 Prime’s opening night on Sept. 17 (which coincidently coincides with Mahomes’ birthday)..

Speaking directly to Mahomes and Kelce, Andrews says: “Boys, the olives better be outstanding and it better be shaken and just absolutely cold. Do you know what I mean?”

The steakhouse opening comes at a busy time. Not only do doors open just three days after the Chiefs face the Philadelphia Eagles for the first time since their defeat at the 2025 Super Bowl, but it also falls four days away from the start of autumn.

Andrews’ partnership with Glade for its Pumpkin Debate campaign aligns with the seasonal switch because it “gets everybody in the mood” for fall, she says, adding that the fragrance brand “has you covered with all their scents.”

The debate at the core of the campaign, however, revolves around the fact that trends show the top fall scents Americans prefer for their home are the classic cinnamon (55%) and apple (49%)… not pumpkin spice!

“Glade is having this Glade Pumpkin Debate,” she explained. “We all know it’s hilarious how much people talk about, ‘Are you into pumpkin?’, ‘Are you not into pumpkin?’, ‘Let’s start serving pumpkin in July’!”

“The survey was done and the results came in, and cinnamon and apples rated higher than pumpkin!” she continued. “It’s fun, it’s cool, and listen, it all just brings back to everybody’s attention that for the fall.”
