Hailey Bieber is taking the Rhode to vintage.

The model, mom and businesswoman, 28, is touring New York City in celebration of Rhode’s debut in Sephora, and she’s pulling out all the stops for the occasion.

On Thursday, Sept. 4, Bieber stepped out in a throwback silver Donna Karan co-ord for a curtain drop ceremony at Sephora Times Square. The look, which featured a cropped boxy shirt with a low-cut neckline and a snug mini skirt, first debuted in 1996 in the brand’s Spring collection, which, yes, makes the outfit just as old as she is! Of course, the look was also only fitting for her new gig as the global face of DKNY, which designer Donna Karan launched in 1989.

This press tour, Bieber has been truly leaning into a minimalist and sleek style. The same day, Bieber made even just a simple white long-sleeve top look cool when paired with black trousers (Her stylist Dani Michelle pulled pieces from Saint Laurent, The Row, Gucci and Phoebe Philo for the look). She also rocked a butter yellow blazer over a lacy all-black look that put a spin on the office siren trend.

This wouldn’t be the first time the Rhode founder has worn vintage. Ahead of the 2025 Met Gala, Bieber made a statement in a baby blue Gucci by Tom Ford shift dress from 1998 that was previously worn by Anna Wintour, the longtime co-chair of the star-studded event.

Bieber’s love for styles of the past has also made an appearance on the red carpet. When she attended the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in March, she turned heads in a strapless black Saint Laurent gown from the label’s 1987 couture collection.

The year has been a big win for Bieber and Rhode. On May 28, it was announced that e.l.f. Beauty signed a $1 billion deal to acquire the beauty brand that Bieber launched in 2022.

Per a press release, Bieber will continue her role as founder and additionally serve as Rhode’s chief creative officer and head of innovation, overseeing creative, product innovation and marketing. She will also act as a strategic advisor to the combined companies.

Speaking at the Business of Beauty Global Forum on June 10, Bieber said she had a “gut” feeling about sealing the deal. “I know we’ve only been around for three years, and we’re still such a baby, but I do see us being a legacy brand,” she said. “Rhode’s going to go down as one of the greats.”
