Devin Dawson and Leah Sykes Are Expecting Baby No. 2

Devin Dawson and Leah Sykes are expanding their family!

On Wednesday, Sept. 3, the “All On Me” crooner, 36, revealed that he and Sykes are expecting their second baby together. Dawson announced the couple’s pregnancy news with a sweet Instagram post, which included multiple family photos from a photo shoot at the beach.

One shot showed the country singer holding the couple’s 14-month-old daughter, Iris Evelaine, as Sykes beamed beside them, cradling her bump and holding a strip of sonogram photos.

A second snap showed Iris with her foot in the sand next to the sonogram pics, while a third picture showed Sykes holding her bump in her strapless floral summer dress.

Another photo focused on the sonogram images, while the last shot showed Dawson and Sykes gazing lovingly at one another, while Iris stood next to them in front of the ocean.

“We’re so excited to share that our family is growing! Baby Durrett #2 expected in January 🤍,” Dawson — whose accolades include writing Blake Shelton‘s No. 1 hit “God’s Country” — captioned the post.

Dawson’s post comes after he announced the birth of their first child, Iris, with an adorable Instagram carousel in July 2024.

The first shot showed new mom Sykes cradling her baby, as a second image showed Dawson asleep with the newborn on his lap. A further photo showed Iris wearing a bow and peering out from her crib while wrapped in blankets.

“Iris Evelaine Durrett was born on the 4th of July at 9:13pm as the fireworks lit up the Nashville sky :),” the musician captioned the post at the time.

“8lbs on the dot and 20in long. Momma and baby are both doing well and to say I’m so proud of both is an understatement. We are tired and happy and finding a rhythm and just so in awe,” he added.

Dawson, who met Sykes while they were both attending Belmont University in Nashville, continued, “Thank you to all of our family and friends for all the continued support. Taking a few weeks off of music to soak up every bit of this as much as i possibly can,” adding, “So much love all around. 💜🎀.”

Dawson and Sykes tied the knot in October 2019 in Franklin, Tennessee, in front of 200 guests at the Carnton historic plantation house and museum, PEOPLE previously reported. They’d gotten engaged that March.

Sykes’s older brother, Jacob, married the pair, who wrote their own wedding vows.

“We wanted to recite our own written vows in addition to traditional wedding vows,” Dawson told PEOPLE at the time. “You better believe that two songwriters and artists wanted to write our own vows and promises!”
