Jalen Hurts is flying high both on and off the field.
The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, 27, made a rare comment his relationship with wife Bryonna “Bry” Burrows and how marrying her in the offseason will affect him this year during a Good Morning America interview on Thursday, Sept. 4.
Hurts, who’s known for keeping his personal life private, was asked by co-anchor Robin Roberts how the “new title of husband” will “impact” him going forward this season.
“Well, you know where your strength comes from,” the reigning Super Bowl champion replied. “You know where your rock is. Those are things that always give you encouragement anytime you step into something.”

This season, which kicks off for the Eagles Thursday night in Philadelphia against their rival Dallas Cowboys, will be the first Hurts plays as a newly-married man since privately tying the knot with Burrows in the spring of 2025. He subtly shared the news in an interview with Men’s Health, telling them of Burrows, “You can call her my wife.”
On June 14, the pair wed for a second time in Napa Valley, Calif., per Page Six. They reportedly shut down the entire Four Seasons hotel in the area from June 12 to June 15.

Burrows wore a white, strapless dress, while Hurts opted for a classic white tuxedo for the couple’s special day. While many details were kept largely under wraps, Page Six reported that Stevie Wonder was in attendance.
The pair, who have been dating on and off since they met at the University of Alabama, was first linked in January 2023, when Burrows joined Hurts on the field to celebrate his team’s NFC Championship win against the San Francisco 49ers.
Later that year, Hurts told Essence he was “not married or anything like that,” but that he considered himself “spoken for.”
“I knew a long time ago, I mean, to this point in my life, that’s an irreplaceable feeling,” he added at the time. “I think that’s what allowed us to get to where we are now.”

The couple announced their engagement in an Essence feature in September 2024. A set of engagement photos on the beach were also included.
The Eagles will take on the Dallas Cowboys for their first game of the regular season on Sept. 4 at 8:20 p.m. ET.
