Travis Kelce is fully bejeweled.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, was all smiles when speaking about his engagement to Taylor Swift, also 35, during a press conference ahead of the Chiefs’ game in Brazil on Thursday, Sept. 4.
Kelce, who announced the engagement news alongside Swift on Aug. 26 and spoke about it for the first time on New Heights yesterday, was asked by media to describe how his “life has changed” and if there’s a “difficulty to focus” on the field.
Patrick Mahomes, who sat beside Travis at the presser, comedically chimed in before his teammate had a second to respond.
“He’s engaged,” the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback replied to the reporter, resulting in an outburst of laughter from the tight end and the room full of media.

“There we go. Exactly,” added a beaming Kelce. “I got one more ring from it,” he joked, clarifying, “Well, two if we’re counting the first Super Bowl.”
“I would say, ever since I’ve been dating Taylor life has been fun… It’s been exciting,” Kelce continued. “Obviously a lot more eyes and I accept that, but I’m living life. Living on a high, I guess.”

Mahomes added, “It’s a dream, dude.
Kelce broke his silence on his engagement to Swift for the first time since the news was announced on the Sep. 3 episode of his New Heights podcast alongside his brother and cohost Jason Kelce.
The former Philadelphia Eagles center, 37, first brought up the happy news, declaring, “Travis, we gotta talk about it,” to which Travis jokingly replied, “I don’t think we do.”

“In case you missed the Instagram post heard ’round the world, Travis and Taylor are engaged! Yay!” Jason declared.
Travis smiled and thanked his brother for last week’s podcast shoutout before replying, “That’s right, that’s right. And I appreciate everybody that reached out and sent something and all the posts and all the excitement that’s been going on.”
He added, “It’s been really fun telling everybody who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with.”

The “Love Story” singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end announced their engagement in a joint post on Instagram alongside several photos from their floral-filled garden proposal.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” Swift wrote in the caption of her post, which was set to her song “So High School.”

Kelce proposed with a ring by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry. The dazzling stone is an “old mine brilliant cut,” which Swift shows off in a series of photos announcing the big news.
Kelce designed the ring with Lubeck.
In one of the images, Kelce is seen down on one knee, while in another photo the pair are embracing. In the final image, they’re seated on a bench beneath a pink-and-white floral trellis.
