What do you get when fashion and pop culture collides in the best way possible? At People StyleWatch, we call that September. New York Fashion Week delivers the style inspo on and off the runway while the Emmys bring the red carpet glam, and don’t forget, Taylor Swift is back in the stands serving stadium couture with a blinding new accessory.

It also marks the official start of fall — a season we love for its cozy layers, darker palettes and the excuse to pull out our credit cards for a new pair of jeans. Whether you’re actually heading back to school or just treating the new season like a wardrobe reset, there’s something undeniably exciting about swapping cutoff shorts for oversized knits and adding just one more pair of boots to your cart.

Speaking of fall fashion goals, we had so much fun playing dress up with our cover star Emma Myers.
