Wizards of Baking’ Confirms Return Date for Season 2

The holidays are about to get a whole lot sweeter — and a little more magical. 

According to a press release obtained by PEOPLE, Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking is whipping up a brand-new season of spellbinding desserts set to premiere on November 2, just in time for the cozy months ahead. 

Real-life twins James and Oliver Phelps — known best as the mischievous Weasley brothers — are stepping back into host mode, keeping the laughs (and maybe some sibling pranks) rolling between bakes.

Chefs Carla Hall and Jozef Youssef will be returning to the competition series as culinary experts and judges. Fans can also look forward to surprise visits from familiar faces in the Wizarding World, including Warwick Davis (who played Professor Filius Flitwick), Afshan Azad (Padma Patil) and Devon Murray (Seamus Finnigan), who will lend both encouragement and critiques to the bakers battling it out.

This season, eight baking duos will be “sorted” into Hogwarts houses — Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff or Gryffindor — before taking on over-the-top dessert challenges inspired by iconic settings, characters and spells from the global movie and book franchise. 

The talent and imagination necessary for these challenges are out of this world, as bakers create edible Diagon Alley streets, screaming Mandrake plants, potions-themed pastries and even a replica of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Not only do teams have to impress with taste and design, but they’ll also compete for special advantages that could make or break their next round.

Discovery. “The next chapter of this delicious competition promises to bring even more joy to fans this holiday season.”

The competition will unfold on the legendary Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden lot, where the Harry Potter franchise was originally filmed. Contestants will whip up sweets within The Great Hall, on Platform 9¾ and down Diagon Alley, allowing viewers to nostalgically step into the fantastical wizarding world of their childhoods.

Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking returns Sunday, Nov. 2, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Food Network, with episodes streaming the next day on Max and discovery+.
