Josh Allen is one proud husband.

The Buffalo Bills quarterback, 29, wore his heart on his sleeve while speaking about his wife, Hailee Steinfeld, during a recent episode of Hard Knocks.

Allen — whose team takes center stage in the long-running sports documentary series produced by NFL Films for HBO — sat down with media personality Kyle Brandt for a candid conversation about his personal life, which took an emotional turn.

Brandt kicked off the interview with the topic of films, noting that he’s chatted with Allen “about movies for years” and sharing how the athlete has “very strong opinions” about them.

“I’m going to give you a movie and I want you to give me a review,” he told the quarterback.

Allen, down for the game, replied, “Okay.”

Sinners,” the sports host put forth, speaking of the movie that stars Steinfeld, 28, in the leading role. The NFL star immediately responded: “A+.”

When asked why, Allen gave a rave review without hesitation.

“Because it combines a lot of different aspects of life. My wife absolutely kills it,” he said in praise of Steinfeld, with whom he tied the knot on May 31 in Santa Barbara, Calif.

He added, “And hopefully award season coming around, people make the right decision.”

Brandt said he left the movie theater after watching Sinners himself and thought, “The NFL MVP is the second most talented person in his own marriage. Is that a crazy hot take?” he stated before asking Allen if he agreed with him.

“Absolutely not,” the Bills QB said. “One thousand percent, and I’m okay with it.”

Then, Allen recalled the emotions that overcame him when he saw it at the premiere.

“When we watched it at the premiere, I was crying at the end,” he admitted. “I was just so proud of her. I get emotional thinking about it, but it was a pretty cool experience.”

“I can tell you’re getting emotional,” Brandt pointed out. “You’re welling up already.”

“Stop it!” joked the football star.

Brandt uploaded the video to his personal X account, and shared his observations from their conversation in the caption.

“The happiest and most candid I have ever seen Josh Allen,” he tweeted alongside the clip taken from the full-length episode.

The couple were first linked in May 2023.

Allen referred to Steinfeld as his girlfriend in August 2023. They eventually made their relationship Instagram official in July 2024 and got engaged four months later.

In May 2025, the pair exchanged vows during a romantic wedding ceremony.

“Yeah, that was the best night of my life honestly,” the Bills star said in the first episode of this season’s Hard Knocks, adding with a smile, “And my wife’s life I think. That’s what she says.”
