David Duchovny Confirms Marriage to Monique Pendleberry

David Duchovny is married!

The actor and writer, 65, confirmed his marriage to florist Monique Pendleberry during his appearance on Today with Jenna & Friends on Wednesday, Sept. 3, when guest co-host Savannah Guthrie brought up the topic.

“By the way, you got married this year,” Guthrie said to Duchovny. “Congratulations!”

“I did, in February. Thank you,” he replied.

The X Files star and Pendleberry have kept their relationship private and did not publicly announce their engagement. The pair reportedly began dating in 2017.

The couple have rarely been seen out in public together, but stepped out in New York City in September 2024.

Before that, in January 2024, they attended a Los Angeles Lakers game against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Crypto.com Arena. They also hit the red carpet together at the January 2023 premiere of Duchovny’s Netflix movie You People, and at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival.

Duchovny was previously married to actress Téa Leoni, 59, with whom he shares two children, daughter West and son Kyd.

The former couple were married from 1997 to 2014, having separated in 2008. Leoni started dating her Madame Secretary costar Tim Daly in 2014, and the two tied the knot earlier this year in an intimate New York wedding on July 12, a rep confirmed to PEOPLE.

Duchovny told PEOPLE in 2015 that he couldn’t see himself getting married again.

“I don’t think I want to be married again,” he said. “I just feel like I’m old!”

At the time, he added that he has no regrets about his past. “My marriage and my family is one of the happiest parts of the history of my life,” Duchovny said. “I would never change it. I don’t understand why people try to rewrite their history.”
