It’s not Halloween yet, but Lady Gaga is already getting spooky.
The Grammy-winning superstar, 39, released her new single “The Dead Dance” from Netflix’s Wednesday as part two of the hit series’ second season — featuring Gaga as Nevermore Academy teacher Rosaline Rotwood — on Wednesday, Sept. 3 alongside a creepy video directed by Tim Burton.
The video takes place in a graveyard filled with various creepy dolls in a graveyard, with Gaga — with skin appearing like cracked porcelain — among them to perform the upbeat dance track.

Lyrically, “The Dead Dance” finds Gaga singing about overcoming a difficult situation and choosing to keep “dancin’ until I’m dead.”
“‘Cause when you killed me inside, that’s when I came alive / Yeah, the music’s gonna bring mе back from death / I’m dancin’ until I’m dead I’ll dancе until I’m dead,” she sings on the chorus.
Gaga was confirmed to have joined the cast of Wednesday in May, and the move after a clip of star Jenna Ortega in season 1 went viral as a meme using Mother Monster’s 2012 song “Bloody Mary.”
“The Dead Dance” was officially announced at Spotify and Netflix’s Wednesday Graveyard Gala at Guastavino’s in New York City on Thursday, Aug. 28.

At the event, Gaga appeared on stage alongside Ortega and fellow Wednesday cast members Emma Myers and Joy Sunday.
The “Bad Romance” musician spoke about the series and “The Dead Dance” while addressing fans, who were then able to hear the song early.

“I’m thrilled to release this song alongside Wednesday,” she said at the time. “I’m a huge fan of the show and had so much fun appearing in it to support ‘The Dead Dance.’”
Gaga is currently in the midst of The Mayhem Ball, a global arena tour in support of her latest album, Mayhem. Her next show is set for Sept. 3 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, followed by two shows on Sept. 6 and 7 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
