This $26 Oxford Shirt Looks Just Like Reese Witherspoon’s

It’s only a matter of time until you have to switch your clothes from summer to fall options. As you determine what tops to keep and what to donate, there’s one piece in particular that fashion stylists recommend always having on hand: a button-up shirt. 

The top has already made its way into A-listers’ closets with Reese Witherspoon posting a video to Instagram in an Oxford shirt, which celebrity stylist Chaise Dennis previously told PEOPLE is a piece people should invest in for fall. Instead of a typical white button-down, though, Witherspoon went for a statement look, opting for a blue and white striped pattern — and we found a nearly identical one for just $26 in Amazon’s fashion department.

It has the same blue shade with contrasting vertical white stripes and a loose fit that you can wear tucked into your pants or half-tucked for a more relaxed look. Witherspoon took a more casual approach with her styling, opting for a slightly unbuttoned look and rolled-up sleeves. She made sure to include subtle touches of glam, including layered necklaces and stacked bracelets to tie everything together. 

What’s key about this button-up shirt, though, is how it doesn’t have front pockets or built-in sleeve holders. Fashion stylist Samantha Dawn previously noted that those types of tops are considered “outdated” and can emphasize your chest in a way that “you don’t typically want.” Instead, a more structured Oxford shirt with a smooth front will give you a tailored, polished look.
