Zendaya is celebrating the end of an era: her twenties!

The actress, turning 29 on Monday, Sept. 1, marked the occasion with a simple Instagram post consisting of a throwback shot: a young, curly-haired Zendaya smiling adorably for the camera on a carousel pony.

“Just coming on here to say how grateful I am for another year of life and for all of you for making it so beautiful,” wrote the Euphoria Emmy winner in her caption addressed to 177 million followers.

“Thank you so so much for all of the love and warm wishes….as always, here’s to (the official last year of my twenties, literally [what the hell]),” she added, signing off with the number 29 and “🫶🏽Z.”

Joining in the fun as commenters on Zendaya’s Instagram posts, the likes of Jason Momoa and Dove Cameron sent well wishes.

The Challengers star has an exciting year ahead when it comes to screen projects in the works. In addition to reprising her role as Rue Bennett in season three of HBO’s drama Euphoria, she stars in Spider-Man: Brand New Day (in theaters May 1, 2026) and director Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey (in theaters on July 17, 2026).

Her fiancé Tom Holland stars with her in both buzzy projects. Zendaya and the English actor, also 29, were confirmed to be engaged this January after she stepped out at the 2025 Golden Globes, sporting a diamond ring on her lefthand ring finger.

A timeline for the superstar duo’s nuptials has yet to be shared. “The process hasn’t even started yet,” Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach told E! News in July. The actress, he added, is “working on so many movies. She’s now filming the next iteration of Dune, so she’s away doing that. It’s so many movies, so we have time. We have a lot of time.”
