Dubai princess engaged to rapper French Montana — year after announcing shocking divorce on Instagram
Welcome to the party.
The daughter of Dubai’s ruler is engaged to rapper French Montana — one year after she abruptly announced her divorce from her first husband and accused him of being “occupied with other companions.”
The Moroccan-American rapper proposed to Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, 31, during Paris Fashion Week in June, his rep confirmed to TMZ Wednesday.
Montana, whose real name is Karim Kharbouch, popped the question after he walked the runway as a featured model for the “3.Paradis Ready to Wear Spring/Summer 2026” show in the French capital.
Still, the hip-hop star’s rep did not share details of the proposal and no wedding date has been yet as of yet.
The Post has reached out Montana’s reps for comment.
Mahra is the daughter of Dubai ruler and United Arab Emirates Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The three-time Grammy nominee was first spotted with the royal in the fall of 2024, shortly after she shockingly called off her marriage to Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum.
In a scathing Instagram post, the princess decided to leave her husband — claiming he prioritized other “companions” during their marriage.
“As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce you,” she wrote in an Instagram post on July 17, 2024. “I divorce you, I divorce you, and I Divorce You. Take care. Your ex-wife.”
The breakup post was intentionally crafted to mock an Islamic tradition called “triple repudiation.”
A triple repudiation is a controversial tactic used by Muslim traditionalists that allows a man to instantly divorce his wife by declaring it three times, according to Brandeis University.
The exes got married in a lavish ceremony in April 2023 and welcomed a daughter in May 2024 before Mahra announced their divorce two months later.
Three months after going their separate ways, the princess — whose family is worth an estimated $18 million — was spotted in Dubai with Montana, according to Hello Magazine.
The pair has since been seen eating dinner, having a date around camels and traveling to mosques, per TMZ.
This will be the second marriage for both the “No Stylist” rapper and the princess.
Montana, who became a US citizen in June 2018, shares a son with his first wife, Deen Kharbouch.
They split in 2012 after five years of marriage and their divorce was finalized in 2014, the same year he famously dated Khloé Kardashian.
