“I think his mind is settled. That’s about all I can tell you,” she told People.
“I think he feels calm and he feels like he’s on a mission and he knows exactly what he wants,” she added.
Donna also noted that she admired that Travis is always “sure of himself.”
“He’s a hard worker. He’s a community person,” she said. “I really think that whatever he does, he puts his whole heart and soul into, and those are the things that I like about him the most.”
A source exclusively told Page Six Tuesday that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end proposed to the pop superstar “a couple of weeks ago.”
In October 2024, Donna played coy when Page Six asked her about Travis proposing to Swift.
“We will see what happens. You never know,” she said at the time.
Swift and Kelce, both 35, announced their engagement on Tuesday with a joint Instagram post and shared romantic pictures of his garden proposal.
They’ve been dating since 2023 after he publicly took his shot on his podcast, “New Heights,” and said he wanted to give her his phone number on a friendship bracelet when he saw her perform at her Eras Tour’s Kansas City stop but he wasn’t allowed to meet her.

Swift reflected on Travis’ grand gesture during her recent appearance on “New Heights.”
“It was such a wild romantic gesture to be like, ‘I wanna date you!’” she shared. “This dude didn’t get a meet-and-greet and he’s making it everyone’s problem. That’s what I thought at first.”
Swift compared the bold move to an ’80s John Hughes film, noting it felt like a modern version of “standing outside my window with a boombox like, ‘I want to date you! Do you want to go on a date with me? I made you a friendship bracelet! Do you want to date me?’”
