“Today is a fairytale ❤️💍 Congrats to Travis and Taylor—we’re excited to have you as a permanent member of the Chiefs Kingdom family!” the NFL team’s official Instagram captioned a slideshow of images featuring the couple.
The first photo pictured Kelce and Swift embracing on the field after the Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills in the 2025 AFC Championship to advance to Super Bowl LIX against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The second slide is a repost of the joint Instagram post the “Cruel Summer” singer and the Chiefs star used to announce their engagement. The couple are pictured in a floral-filled garden for the proposal pictures.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” Swift wrote in the caption.
Kelce proposed with a ring he designed with Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry. The stone is an “Old Mine brilliant cut,” which Swift shows off the photos announcing the big news.

The engagement announcement comes two days after the tight end and several members of the Kansas City Chiefs attended a special screening of ESPN’s The Kingdom on Sunday, Aug. 24 in Kansas City. The athlete’s parents, Ed and Donna Kelce, were also present.
At the event, Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt spoke with PEOPLE exclusively about Kelce and Swift’s connection and how he enjoyed learning new details about their relationship in the six-part docuseries.

Hunt shared how The Kingdom gives fans a “fun … little peek into Travis’ relationship with Taylor” and shares a “unique” aspect of it that neither of them has opened up about before.
“There were definitely some elements of that where there were some new things that we learned,” he told PEOPLE exclusively on the red carpet during the exclusive screening, which was held at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City.

“We all lived the experience of having her join the Chief’s Kingdom a couple of years ago, and hearing the recounting of her coming to that first game, really from her perspective, I thought was really unique,” he added.
Swift attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game on Sept. 23, 2023 alongside Travis’ mom Donna. The game took place at the Arrowhead Stadium, with the Chiefs beating the Chicago Bears 41-10 with the help of a touchdown from Travis.

The couple then went on to confirm their romance the next month when they stepped out holding hands at a Saturday Night Live afterparty in New York City.
Hunt’s comments come after the pop superstar made a record-breaking appearance on Travis and his brother Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast on Aug. 13 and revealed the “insane” football question she asked Travis on their first ever date.
