Inside Giants’ Kayvon Thibodeaux taking up wrestling
Kayvon Thibodeaux stopped grappling with how to make more plays for the Giants and got on the mats to take matters — and opponents — into his own hands.
Thibodeaux picked up wrestling this offseason as a way of making sure he is getting quarterbacks and ball carriers to the ground without needing teammates to jump onto the pile.

“Wrestlers literally tackle people to the ground — that’s the whole goal,” Thibodeaux said. “So, it’s just like learning. Seeing that the part of my game that I wanted to elevate was the finish. And that’s kind of the start to a wrestling match.”
Thibodeaux counted five split sacks among his 5.5 total last season — down from 11.5 sacks in his breakthrough 2023.
