Other Patriots who are expected to sit this one out include their top wide receivers, defensive stalwarts Milton Williams and Christian Barmore, and veterans Jabrill Peppers, Harold Landry and Robert Spillane.

New England’s two preseason wins came in the form of a 48-18 win over Washington in the opener and a 20-12 triumph over Minnesota last time out.
