Wild video shows California high schooler body slammed by staffer after picking fight, punching teachers

A wild video captured the moment a California class of high school freshmen erupted into a violent scene when a disruptive student punched a teacher — then got body slammed moments later by a staff member.

The now-viral clip posted to social media on Tuesday showed the tense exchange between the unidentified student and a male staffer inside the Lincoln High School gym.

The teacher attempted to guide the unruly student to the exit by placing a hand on his arm, according to the footage.

Then the situation quickly escalated when the student shoved the teacher and threw a jab, hitting the adult’s jaw, the video showed.

As the teacher turned away and began to walk off, the student threw a few punches before another staff member stepped in to help direct the student out the doorway — leading the high schooler to then aggressively punch him, according to the clip.

While they walked through the closing gym doors, a school resource officer dramatically charged in and body slammed the student to the floor — sending students in the bleachers jumping to their feet in shock.

The Western Placer Unified School District confirmed the incident and that the student is now facing disciplinary action, TMZ reported.

“The safety and well-being of students and staff remain the highest priority for Lincoln High School and the Western Placer Unified School District. The behavior displayed in this incident does not reflect the values of respect, responsibility, and kindness that the District upholds, and actions of this nature are not acceptable at any school,” the district said in a statement to the outlet.

The high schooler was placed under arrest and booked into juvenile hall, the Lincoln Police Department told the outlet.

Social media users have since debated over whether the staffer should have forcefully taken the student down.

“The officer should be sued. There are amicable ways to do this,” one commenter said.

“Someone’s parent is on the way after seeing this video lol,” another user said.

It is not yet clear if the staff member will face disciplinary action.
