Gerry Turner Allegedly Dated Another ‘Golden Bachelor’ Contestant After Golden Divorce From Theresa Nist

Theresa Nist wasn’t the only golden bachelorette who got a chance to be with Gerry Turner.

Nist joined her fellow former Golden Bachelor contestants Susan Noles and Kathy Swarts on a recent episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, where Noles and Swarts even clued Nist in on some juicy inside gossip from the show: Turner allegedly dated Christina Kempton, another contestant from their season, after he split from Nist in April 2024.

“Theresa, I think you know, Gerry dated Christina from our show for a while after…” Noles said.

Nist acknowledged that she was already aware of Turner’s relationship with Kempton. However, she appeared shocked to learn just how long their relationship lasted.

“You know, now I know that, a while ago, I’m actually the one who suggested he go out with Christina,” Nist revealed.

Swarts and Noles said they also thought it was a good idea, noting, “We’re all on the same page.”

But when they revealed that Turner and Kempton dated for six months, Nist replied, “What?! I didn’t know that!” He also reportedly let Kempton read part of his upcoming memoir, Golden Years: What I’ve Learned from Love, Loss, and Reality TV, which is set to release in November.

Nist admitted Turner would not share what he wrote in the book. “I’m anxious to see what he’s going to say in the book,” she said. “He’s like, ‘Oh, you know, I’m under contract, I can’t say anything.’”

Turner and Nist got married in a live Golden Wedding special on ABC in January 2024 after he chose Nist as the finalist he wanted to be with. But just three months later, the couple announced they were splitting up during an appearance on Good Morning America.

“Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations, and we’ve looked closely at our situation, our living situation, so forth and we’ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it’s probably time for us to dissolve our marriage,” Turner said at the time.

He later announced that he was diagnosed with an “incurable” form of bone marrow cancer.

Turner was last seen dating retired teacher Lana Sutton earlier this year.

The Golden Bachelor is set to return with a brand new season featuring Mel Owens Wednesday, October 1 at 9:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
