Impossible 8′ at home now

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to stream “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” on-demand.

The eighth (and final?) “Mission: Impossible” film hit theaters on May 23 and 88 days later, has finally made its way to streaming on VOD platforms like Prime Video.

“The Final Reckoning” is a direct sequel to 2023’s “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning” that follows Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt and his IMF team as they race against the clock and across the globe to stop the Entity, a rogue AI, from destroying all of humanity. The movie, the fourth “Mission” to be directed by longtime Cruise collaborator Christopher McQuarrie, is notable for its extreme practical stunts, including a stunning aerial sequence and an extended underwater set piece.

In his 3.5 (of 4) star review, New York Post entertainment critic Johnny Oleksinski wrote that the aerial stunt “trumps anything Marvel has accomplished in 17 years,” and that despite its long run time, “because it never catches its breath or lets its energy level drop a millimeter, the film clips along.”
