Times Square subway evacuated after suspicious package prompts bomb squad investigation
Commuters were evacuated from the Times Square subway station Monday morning as cops investigated a suspicious package.

The cylinder-style device was discovered outside the NYPD’s substation in Times Square at around 10:30 a.m., law-enforcement sources said.
The 42nd Street Times Square Station, which serves the N, Q, R, W, 1, 2, 3, A, C and E lines, was cleared out as a precaution, sources said.
The NYPD’s bomb squad was responding to the area.
Seventh Avenue, between West 43rd and 42nd Street, was blocked off to pedestrians and vehicular traffic.
