Woman found dead in California clothing donation bin after getting head trapped in receptacle
A woman was found dead in a California clothing drop-off box after her head got trapped in the receptacle, leaving her legs dangling outside, according to police.
The unidentified woman’s limp body was found partially wedged inside the packed charity box, meant for clothing and nonperishables, in Lodi on Tuesday night, according to the Lodi Police Department, KOVR reported.
Police said her head was lodged in the white container’s narrow collection chute.
The unresponsive woman was eventually freed from the bin and rushed to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, the outlet reported.
She is believed to be between 35 and 45 years old, said police, who are encouraging anyone with information to contact the department.
The investigation is still ongoing.
The chilling incident comes more than a month after a middle-aged homeless woman died when she became trapped in a charity bin in Florida while reaching for clothes and shoes.
The victim was reportedly found “partially stuck” in the rectangular box and declared dead at the scene.
