Jets’ sloppy offensive problems show up again

Observations from practice at Jets training camp on Thursday:

Folk Lore

Welcome back, Nick Folk. The kicker, who returned to the Jets on Tuesday, went 6-for-6 on his field goal attempts in practice.

‘O’ no!

The offense was shaky for the second straight practice.

Justin Fields held the ball too long and would have been sacked a few times. Backup Tyrod Taylor threw two interceptions.

There were several false start penalties, too.

Caught my eye

The Jets went heavy on red zone periods Thursday, and you can tell new offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand will be an upgrade in this department.

Some of the play designs were really creative and resulted in open receivers.

Injury report

DT Quinnen Williams left practice with a tweaked left calf after hurting it during positional drills. RB Braelon Allen missed his second straight practice with knee soreness.
