See All the Celebrities You Didn’t Know Had a Twin (Including Gisele Bündchen)
As the old saying goes, there’s no better friend than a sibling.
For most, a brother or sister is a ride-or-die, a best friend and one’s greatest ally. They’re the person who knows you the longest and the best and will be there for you through thick and thin.
For celebrities with twins, their built-in BFFs share more than just DNA — they prove the adage true by accompanying their sibling on red carpets, to society shindigs and occasionally even on the job. Whether they’ve shared the stage, split the same role as kids or opted for a quieter life out of the spotlight, some entertainers have acknowledged their sibling has been an integral part in shaping their identity.
Actor Rami Malek, for example, said during a 2015 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live that he and his twin Sami Malek “were troublemakers as kids.” On her reality show in 2024, Tia Mowry: My Next Act, former child star Tia Mowry said, “I came into this world with a twin, and right after that, I went into a 22-year relationship, so I have never been alone in my life.”
From supermodel Gisele Bündchen — who celebrates her sister, Patricia Bündchen, on social media — to Scarlett Johansson‘s “younger” brother Hunter Johansson, here are a few celebrities who share a birthday (and even their good looks) with a sibling.

Many fans discovered Rami had a younger identical twin brother when he brought his lookalike, Sami, to the 2019 Golden Globe Awards, where he won best actor for his turn in Bohemian Rhapsody as rock star Freddie Mercury. He later earned Best Actor for the role at the Academy Awards.
The duo also have a sister, Yasmine Malek, who is a doctor.
While the two aren’t seen together frequently in public, the Oppenheimer star opened up about his brother, a school teacher.
“We were bad, bad, bad boys. We helped each other out in certain situations,” Rami said during a 2020 appearance on The Graham Norton Show, adding his brother once asked him to switch places while they were college students.
Rami continued, “I was coming back from acting school, and he said, ‘Listen, my teacher has offered me the points I will need to graduate. I just have to deliver a Greek monologue from a Greek tragedy. What are the chances you know a Greek tragedy?’ I said, ‘Actually, I just did this in my final year in school, so yeah, give me a shot.’ ”
Patricia and Gisele Bündchen

Gisele and her fraternal twin sister, Patricia, are understandably inseparable, which is made clear on Gisele’s social accounts, where she regularly praises her sibling.
To celebrate their joint birthday in 2024, the supermodel posted a photo of the pair on Instagram with the caption: “Grateful to be celebrating one more year around the sun with my super sis. Thank you everyone for all the love and birthday wishes. Feeling blessed to be surrounded by so much love. Looking forward to what is ahead!”

Although she may be older than her fraternal twin brother, Hunter, by only three minutes, Scarlett shares a “super close” bond with her brother.
“Of course, we know so much about each other because we were like … you’re in utero together,” the Fly Me to the Moon star told co-hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos during a 2024 appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark. “Which, I’m like, ‘Oh yeah, I guess I’ve always had you around.’ ”
One of their strongest connections comes from the fact that, as children, finding knick-knacks and souvenirs with their names on them was nearly impossible.
“There were definitely no ‘Scarletts. Certainly no ‘Hunters,’ ” the Oscar-winning actress said in 2025 on TODAY with Jenna & Friends before adding, “A couple of years ago, we were in Montauk out on Long Island at one of those surf shops. We found mini keychain surfboards. One said ‘Scarlett’ and the other ‘Hunter.’ I swear, we legit cried.”
Living a quiet life outside the spotlight, activist Hunter founded the Solar Responders in 2018, a nonprofit that helps install solar power and battery storage in fire stations in Puerto Rico.
Vin Diesel and Paul Vincent

Much like his character Dominic Toretto in The Fast and the Furious movies, Vin Diesel (né Mark Sinclair Vincent) is just as committed to his family off-screen, including the three children he shares with partner Paloma Jiménez and his siblings — Samantha Vincent, Tim Vincent and fraternal twin brother, Paul Vincent.
Diesel also echoes that sentiment for Paul, a sound editor the actor has praised as a devoted father.
“Happy Birthday to my original twin brother Paul! I have watched you grow into such a wonderful dad and family man,” Diesel captioned a post of the two on Instagram in 2016. “You have made me proud every step of the way. We love you!”

The White Lotus actress Parker Posey grew up close to her fraternal twin, Chris Posey, a lawyer in Atlanta.
In her first book, You’re on an Airplane: A Self-Mythologizing Memoir, the one-time “Queen of the Indies” shared that growing up as part of a set deeply affected her.
“Being a twin is confusing,” Parker wrote in the 2018 memoir (via Vulture). “I recognize a particular loneliness and confusion when I meet other female twins — a puzzled disillusionment.”

The younger sisters of award-winning music producer Mark Ronson might be twins, but the siblings couldn’t be more different regarding their careers.
Charlotte Ronson is a fashion designer with multiple boutiques in N.Y.C., widely acclaimed by celebrities such as Gwen Stefani, Gisele and Winona Ryder.
Meanwhile, sister Samantha Ronson followed in her brother’s footsteps in music and became a DJ, releasing several albums of her own. She performs at high-end social gatherings and shindigs. In addition to music, Samantha has broadened her scope into cooking and writing. As an amateur chef and scribe, she writes a monthly column for Family Style titled “Tate Matters.”

The brother of Jagged Little Pill singer Alanis Morissette shares his sister’s passion for music, though Wade Morissette has embraced a slightly different sound than his chart-topping sister.
Wade performs kirtan music, a form of devotional singing, which aligns with his work as a certified yoga instructor.
“I am a huge fan of my twin brother Wade Morissette’s kirtan music,” the pop icon told Us Weekly in 2010.
The siblings have also co-authored a book about their mutual passion for yoga, writing Transformative Yoga: Five Keys to Unlocking Inner Bliss in 2009.
Chloe and Noah Schnapp

Noah Schnapp is close to his fraternal twin sister, Chloe Schnapp, as evidenced by the pair’s social media accounts, where they often post shout-outs to each other for their birthdays.
So it was no surprise that when the Stranger Things star came out as gay in 2023, he went to his sister first.
“I can’t tell anyone else before I tell my own twin sister — she’ll kill me,” he told Variety that year, adding, “She was ecstatic. She was like, ‘Oh, he’ll be my best friend.’ ”

Actress and activist Laverne Cox made a name for herself on Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black, but few fans realized that during her character arc, she got a helping hand from her brother, M Lamar (born Reginald Lamar Cox).
In a flashback scene revealing Sophia’s backstory, Lamar played the role of Marcus, Sophia’s identity before transitioning.
“They started bringing in actors, standing them next to me, and photographing us together. They were these butch Black men, and I was like, ‘This is off,’ ” Cox told HuffPost Live in 2013, adding, “They eventually ended up having auditions. The casting director found out I had a twin brother, and she insisted that he audition for the role.”
The rest was fait accompli.
When he isn’t assisting his sister, Lamar is a composer, performer, activist, and artist renowned for his operatic countertenor voice. He was also a cast member on season 1 of ABC’s competition reality show Claim to Fame in 2022, going by the name “X.”
Kiefer and Rachel Sutherland

The offspring of late film icon Donald Sutherland and actress Shirley Douglas, Kiefer Sutherland and twin sister Rachel Sutherland were destined for Hollywood. So, it’s no surprise that the twins carved a career for themselves in front of and behind the camera.
Kiefer started as a kid actor before he made a splash as bully Ace Merrill in the 1986 coming-of-age drama Stand By Me. Thanks to roles in The Lost Boys (1987), Young Guns (1988), and Flatliners (1990), it was only a matter of time before the actor became a leading man.
However, it was his role as Jack Bauer on 24 that made him a household name. Despite all his success, Kiefer still depended on his sister to be his rock, who always had his back.
“Being a twin taught me the value of having a companion. Every time I experienced something, I could turn to my left and share it,” Kiefer told The Guardian in 2018.
Unlike her brother, Rachel made a name for herself behind the camera, working in post-production for TV shows such as Rookie Blue and Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent.
Shawn and Aaron Ashmore

As identical twin actors, Shawn Ashmore and Aaron Ashmore have covered the gamut of superhero fandom, with one brother joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the other taking the DC route.
On the silver screen, Shawn established the role of Bobby “Iceman” Drake in the X-Men movie franchise, while his lookalike brother Aaron played Jimmy Olsen on Smallville.
However, their paths crossed when Shawn was cast on Smallville as Eric Summers for a few episodes. At the time, even Shawn didn’t think he would get the role.
“I almost didn’t audition for it because I thought, ‘There’s no way that they’re going to hire the twin brother of a guy who was heavily featured on the show,’ ” Shawn told Entertainment Weekly in 2017.
Luckily, Shawn went to the audition and nabbed the part of the metahuman. Shawn has since starred on The Rookie, while Aaron was on Locke & Key, Ginny & Georgia and SkyMed.

“We’re twins … and I consider him my best friend,” actor Ashton Kutcher told Pioneer Press in 2012 of brother Michael Kutcher, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at age 3.
In an appearance on the Paramount+ series The Checkup with Dr. David Agus, Ashton revealed a terrifying and emotional moment when the brothers were kids.
“I go in the room, and I’m like, ‘Whoa,’ ” Ashton told CNN in 2022. “I’m like, ‘Everything is not okay.’ And he flatlines in the room, and I know that noise ’cause now I’ve been visiting occasionally.”
The scare led to a heart transplant for Micheal, who is now an advocate for people with disabilities.
