Naked Florida man terrorizes neighborhood — and locals say he’s lucky he wasn’t shot

A naked Florida man terrorized a neighborhood in a late-night rampage, breaking into multiple homes and destroying property — with on-edge neighbors saying he’s lucky he wasn’t shot dead.

The bare-naked burglar, identified by police as 23-year-old Joshua Garrison, was caught on security camera lurking through backyards in Pinellas Park outside of St. Petersburg last week, touching himself sexually and causing significant damage.

“I was asleep, and the doorbell rang, and I answered the door,” neighbor David Dale told WFLA. “Opened the door and there was a guy standing there, and he was stark naked.”

“He threw a pot of plants through my truck window and tore the lights off the front of my house,” Dale added.

Another resident said Garrison tried to get through the screen of a window before he ran into his backyard, touched himself sexually and came back with a weapon.

“He went into my shed, grabbed an ax and came back onto the back porch,” Thomas Reischmann said.
“We don’t know why he didn’t use it,” noting that his back door was unlocked at the time.

Garrison helped himself to a bottle of beer and a can of soda from an outdoor fridge before he took off and hopped over Reischmann’s 6-foot fence into the night, video shows.

Locals were shaken-up by the string of bizarre break-ins, with one noting that many residents are armed and ready to defend their homes.

“We are all Second Amendment people here in Pinellas Park; we will shoot you,” one unidentified neighbor told the outlet. “He got lucky we didn’t wake up.”

Police responded to reports of the troubling break-ins on Oct. 7 and police arrested Garrison, who is believed to be homeless, on Tuesday, according to Fox 13 News.

Garrison is facing multiple charges including armed residential burglary, two counts of residential burglaries, lewd behavior, criminal mischief and violating probation.
