Hamas’ public executions: Letters
The Issue: Public executions of “collaborators with Israel” by Hamas starting just hours after the cease-fire.
Now that Hamas can’t kill Jews anymore, I see that it has started killing Palestinians instead (“Hamas guns down clans,” Oct. 15).
No word from any human-rights organization or the United Nations condemning Hamas for killing its own people. Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, Jewish Voice for Peace and Students for Justice in Palestine are antisemitic and don’t really care if Palestinians are killed by their own people in public executions.

It only took hours after the Israeli Defense Forces pulled back in Gaza for the killing to begin again. Hamas likely released the hostages to get Israel’s forces out of the way.
Then it immediately began executing anyone it deemed a “collaborator.”
Hamas is not to be trusted to honor any deal and has already proven this with its unfulfilled promise to return the corpses of hostages murdered in captivity.
A deal is only as good as the parties involved, and there is nothing good about Hamas.

President Trump’s “miracle” in Gaza is already unraveling. The Israelis reduced the number of aid trucks entering Gaza from 600 to about 300, which is not enough to meet the needs of more than 2 million people. In addition, five Gazans were shot dead by the Israelis for allegedly crossing the cease-fire line.
Meanwhile, Hamas is carrying out public executions and “settling old scores,” and there are reports of fighting in Gaza between Hamas and unnamed parties. Some peace this is.

It was absolutely heartbreaking to see Hamas slaughter its own people. Israel is not a threat to the Palestinians. It is Hamas that is a threat to its own people.
It’s time for the world to come together and destroy this group, or Palestinians will never be free.

In the aftermath of the Israeli hostage release and subsequent withdrawal from certain sections of Gaza, Hamas took to the streets and publicly executed people in front of cheering crowds. Yet Israel is the problem?

The Issue: New York Attorney General Letitia James’ first public appearance at a rally since her indictment.
Attorney General Letitia James’ unhinged, apoplectic rant at Monday’s rally for Zohran Mamdani was frightening to witness (“James in defiant hero act,” Oct. 15).
This woman first made a mockery of her oath of office by hijacking millions of taxpayer dollars to conduct a political hit job on Donald Trump.
She’s an embarrassment to our judicial system and to all those who serve under her.

Letitia James must have gone to the Al Sharpton school of protest. If she is as innocent of these indictment charges as she claims, why is she carrying on screaming and acting like a Black Panther?
Someone needs to tell James it’s old and worn out. Just keep your mouth shut, build your defense and go to court.

Why is James having such a hissy fit over her recent indictment? After all, in 2024 she so clearly stated: “When powerful people cheat to get better loans, it comes at the expense of honest and hardworking people. Everyday Americans cannot lie to a bank to get a mortgage to buy a home, and if they did, our government would throw the book at them. There simply cannot be different rules for different people.”
I agree with her.
