Shedeur Sanders’ brother pranks fans by dressing up as Browns QB in video
Shilo Sanders deceived some NFL fans by posing as his younger brother, Browns backup quarterback Shedeur Sanders, while at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday, when the Steelers beat Cleveland, 23-9.
In a video posted Tuesday to his YouTube channel, Shilo — an undrafted rookie safety who was released by the Buccaneers in August — attended the Week 6 matchup dressed in his brother’s No. 12 Browns jersey that he accessorized with a diamond “Legendary” chain, a piece similar to Shedeur’s signature chain.
Shilo, also sporting sunglasses and a backward hat, signed autographs for fans, who sang his praises.
“Do you know who I am?” Shilo asked a Browns fan after they guessed “Shedeur,” and asked him to sign their hat.
“I wanted you to go in. Why’d they wait so long to go to Gabriel?” the man said, referring to rookie Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel, who was promoted to starter after Cleveland traded veteran Joe Flacco to the Cincinnati Bengals earlier this month.
“I don’t know, man, he’s a good guy though,” Shilo said of his brother’s teammate.
A Steelers fan then approached Shilo, 25, and said Pittsburgh fans were rooting for Shedeur.
“Steelers fans were cheering for you, bro, seriously,” the woman said. “We wanted to see you play, man. We wanted you to play so bad, though.”
Shilo continued signing autographs while telling the woman he appreciated the support.
“Did you see me on the field, though, on the sideline?” he said, to which she explained that “we were yelling” for Shedeur to get playing time.
At that point, a small group of fans surrounding Shilo were convinced they were talking to Shedeur.
“Everything happens for a reason,” Shilo said. “I’m just thankful to God that I even have the opportunity to get on this field and to just get the chance.”
Before they took a photo together, Shilo asked the woman, “Do y’all know Shilo?”
She replied, “Hell yeah, No. 28, well, he was No. 28. I wanted to buy his jersey. But that’s alright, I still love him too.”
Shilo and Shedeur are the sons of Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders.
The former Colorado quarterback has yet to make his NFL debut after a shocking fall to the fifth round in the 2025 NFL Draft in April.
The 23-year-old Shedeur was selected 144th overall by the Cleveland Browns.

Meanwhile, Shilo was dropped by the Buccaneers as part of the team’s final roster cuts over the summer.
The move came days after he was ejected from the Buccaneers’ preseason finale on Aug. 23 for throwing a punch.
Once inside the stadium on Sunday, Shilo sat with his mom, Pilar Sanders, who said it’s only a matter of time before another team calls him.
Shilo and Shedeur were coached by their dad at Colorado and at Jackson State.
