Ravens bench Cooper Rush for Tyler Huntley during latest loss
The Ravens have moved on to their backup quarterback’s backup in the absence of two-time MVP Lamar Jackson.
Cooper Rush was benched and replaced by Tyler Huntley in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 17-3 loss to the Rams.
With Jackson sidelined for the second straight week with a hamstring injury, Rush threw for just 72 yards with one interception when Baltimore coach John Harbaugh turned to Huntley with 13:30 left in the game.
Huntley completed 10 of 15 passes for 68 yards in the fourth quarter, but the Ravens did not score and fell to 1-5 on the season.

Harbaugh said after Sunday’s game that he expects Jackson to return for the team’s next game at home against the Bears on Oct. 26 after their Week 7 bye.
The 27-year-old Huntley has appeared in 26 NFL games, including nine starts for the Ravens earlier in his career and five starts for the Dolphins last season.
He went to training camp this summer with the Browns, but he was released in August and re-signed with the Ravens.
