Prince William makes surprise appearance on another TV set following cameo in Eugene Levy’s series
Prince William stepped foot onto one of the most iconic TV sets in the UK — just says after he took Eugene Levy on a tour of Windsor Castle in the actor’s Apple TV+ series.
The Prince of Wales, 43, was treated to an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Bad Wolf Studios in Cardiff, Wales — which is home to a range of hit shows, including “Doctor Who,” “His Dark Materials” and “The Other Bennet Sister.”
During his visit, William — who serves as the president of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) — even got a tour of the iconic TARDIS, a fictional hybrid of a time machine that often appears in “Doctor Who.”
Following his visit, the future king recorded a special message for the BAFTA Cymru Awards on Monday.
“Ahead of sharing a special message at the @baftacymru Awards this evening, it was a pleasure to spend time at Bad Wolf Studios Wales in Cardiff, meeting trainees supported by @bafta’s Prince of Wales Bursary and Screen Alliance Wales, exploring the sets of The Other Bennet Sister and Doctor Who, and joining St Albans R.C. Primary School for a classroom puppetry workshop,” the prince wrote on Instagram.
“From period pieces to all of time and space, both the BAFTA bursary and Bad Wolf Studios are actively inspiring future generations of creative talent. Well done to all those involved, and best of luck to tonight’s nominees!”
In the video, William heaped praise on BAFTA’s “world-renowned talent pipeline” and its “important role in supporting the next generation of talent.”
“These bursaries are used to pay for training courses, equipment, relocation expenses, and much more – the essentials without which talented people can be locked out of a career in the screen arts,” he added, highlighting the organization’s continued support of its bursary program.
The beloved royal’s appearance comes just days after he made a memorable cameo in Levy’s Apple TV+ series, “The Reluctant Traveler.”
The prince took the “Schitt’s Creek” star on a private tour of Windsor Castle, sharing the late Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite spots around the lavish Berkshire estate.
During the duo’s outing, William even got candid about losing his grandmother, telling Levy just how much he misses his grandparents.
“It’s been quite a bit of change, so you do sort of, you think about them not being here anymore and particularly being in Windsor, for me Windsor is her,” he said about the late monarch, who died in Sept. 2022 at age 96.
“So, she loved it here, she spent most of her time here.”
