Nicole Kidman shows off new look after Keith Urban split
Nicole Kidman is rocking a new look in the wake of her surprising split from Keith Urban.
The “Babygirl” actress, 58, stepped out for the Chanel runway show during Paris Fashion Week on Monday, Oct. 6.
She showed off her fresh breakup bangs and accompanied the new hairdo with a simple white button-down and jeans.
Kidman, who was without her wedding ring, was joined by her and Urban’s two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, for the event.
The pair matched their movie star mom’s look with casual outfits of their own, and the Chanel show came just a few days after Sunday walked the Paris Fashion Week circuit during the Dior show on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
Kidman, meanwhile, was named an ambassador for Chanel shortly before taking to the runway. The move came more than 20 years after she was first named the face of the famous brand for its Chanel No. 5 perfume in 2003.
“As someone who has such an appreciation for haute couture, I am so looking forward to witnessing Matthieu [Blazy’s] vision for the oldest haute couture house still in operation and having the opportunity to wear what I know will be gorgeous creations,” the “Big Little Lies” star told Women’s Wear Daily on Monday.
“Chanel has always been ahead of the curve, shining a smart and gracious light on women, and I am sure Matthieu will be no exception, just like Karl [Lagerfeld] did in his time,” she added.
Kidman’s appearance at Paris Fashion Week marks her second public work outing since filing for divorce from Urban, 57, after nearly 20 years of marriage on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
The Oscar winner previously broke cover to present the Award of Inspiration to “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan at an amfAR auction in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday night.
“I think what Taylor recognizes, as we all do, is that we are all more alike than we are different, and that we’re better when we look out for each other,” Kidman said before presenting Sheridan, 55, with the honor.
“That, of course, is why we’re here tonight,” she added. “What better way to support, to elevate our common humanity, than to help fund bold and innovative research?”
The news of Kidman and Urban’s split first broke on Monday, Sept. 29, one day before the actress filed for divorce from the “Blue Ain’t Your Color” singer in Nashville, Tennessee.
Insiders claimed the pair had been separated “since the beginning of summer” and that Urban had already “moved out of their family home” for his own pad in Nashville.
Kidman cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind their split, per the divorce documents obtained by The Post, and listed their date of separation as “date of filing.”
Additional sources close to the former couple suggested Urban was already seeing another woman, although it was unclear if he moved on before or after leaving Kidman.
As for the country star, he returned to the concert stage for a performance in Hershey, Pa., on Thursday, Oct. 2.
Although the “Somebody Like You” singer was without his wedding ring, he did reportedly include a photo of Kidman and their daughters in a projected slideshow during a song.
Maggie Baugh, Urban’s guitarist and rumored new love interest, was also mysteriously absent from the country crooner’s first concert since Kidman filed for divorce.
“Nicole is honoring her work commitments, as is Keith,” an insider told People regarding the former couple.
Kidman and Urban met at the G’Day USA Gala in January 2005, and they tied the knot more than one year later on June 25, 2006.
They welcomed Sunday and Faith during their 19-year marriage, and Kidman noted in the divorce docs that she seeks to be the “primary residential parent” of the kids.
