Taylor Swift Reveals Who Is ‘Obviously’ Invited to Her Wedding to Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift‘s wedding guest list is already in the works.

While the 35-year-old singer-songwriter was promoting her new record, The Life of a Showgirl, during an interview with BBC Radio 1 on Friday, Oct. 3, host Greg James, 39, was taken aback when Swift invited him on the spot to her wedding to Travis Kelce, 35.

Although James has known Swift for years, he has yet to meet her Kansas City Chiefs tight end fiancé.

“He’s a really easy-going guy. You will absolutely love him when you meet him … He’s a real vibes guy,” Swift noted of the NFL star before reiterating that her previous description of him as an “exclamation mark” is “very accurate.”

James said, “You and I have known each other for so long — longer than Travis has known you. I feel like I should — I need to just check that… The vibes are strong from him, I think he’s a great guy, but I need to check for sure.”

The broadcaster joked he’d love to “play catch” with the footballer or have Kelce “do a wrestling move” on him, to which Swift casually responded, “The way that he’s going to do that as soon as he sees you at our wedding. That’s gonna happen.”

James instantly said “woah” and threw both his hands up when he realized that Swift was suggesting he’s already scored an invitation to her wedding.

“Am I coming?” James asked. With a chuckle, the 14-time Grammy winner replied, “Obviously.”

She noted how it’s funny fans don’t think they’re “actually friends” after James told her she was “sweaty” and suggested she “have a shower” during an interview following her performance at The Biggest Weekend festival in Swansea, Wales, in May 2018. Swift confirmed she was “not upset” by that conversation.

Later in the interview, James told Swift, “By the way, thanks for the invite to the wedding.” Swift replied, “You’re so welcome.”

“I don’t normally like a destination wedding, but for you I would make an exception,” James noted, to which Swift said, “Sick.”

Swift told James she’ll tell him her wedding location “at a different time.”

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on Aug.26, sharing the photos from the floral-filled proposal in a joint post on Instagram with the caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.” The post has now been liked over 37 million times. 

“You’re clearly — you’re in love,” James pointed out, to which Swift responded with a smile, “Yeah.”
