50 Cent got the ultimate shoutout from Taylor Swift.

When the 14-time Grammy winner released her new album The Life of a Showgirl on Friday, Oct. 3, it included name-checking the “Candy Shop” rapper in one of her songs.

Swift, 35, mentions 50 Cent (whose real name is Curtis Jackson), 50, on the album’s sixth track, “Ruin the Friendship.”

On the song, which explores unrequited love and regret woven into a narrative about a crush who meets a tragic end, he gets a mention in a memory the “Opalite” singer wishes she could change during the chorus.

“And it was not an invitation / But as the 50 Cеnt song played (Song played) / Should’ve kissed you anyway (Anyway) / And it was not (And it was not) convenient (Convenient), no / Would’ve been the best mistake / Should’ve kissed you anyway, hey-ey,” Swift sings on the song.

50 Cent was thrilled by the inclusion and shared his excitement on Instagram Oct. 3.

@taylorswift shit is popping right now,” he captioned the post alongside an image of The Life of a Showgirl artwork. “😏she shout me out, 🤫she don’t shout you out. LOL 😆 THIS IS FOR BIG TIMERS ONLY! @50centaction wait I’m the only shout out on the whole album. 🔥”

While Swift has not fully explained the meaning behind “Ruin the Friendship,” fans have speculated it’s about Jeffrey Lang, who died at age 21 on Nov. 2, 2010 after initially theorizing — based solely on the song title — that “Ruin the Friendship” would be about her strained bond with Blake Lively. (A source told PEOPLE at the time in August that the longtime friends “aren’t speaking” amid the actress’s ongoing lawsuit with It Ends with Us costar Justin Baldoni.)

Swift and Lang went to Hendersonville High School together in Hendersonville, Tenn., before she left school to pursue her music career. Days after his death in 2010, the “Eldest Daughter” artist honored her late friend days later at the BMI County Awards in Nashville.

50 Cent has long been a supporter of Swift.

In 2009, he came to her defense after Kanye West stormed the stage as the “Honey” performer accepted her first VMA.

At the time, 50 Cent told MuchOnDemand that if the “Runaway” rapper, 48, had taken away his award, he would have “black his eye in front of everybody.”

“Even an apology can’t replace what it feels like for the very first time receiving that award. In Taylor Swift‘s head, ‘My first award was Kanye West.’ It’s damaging,” he added.

Swift’s 12th studio album The Life of a Showgirl is out now.
