Niall Horan is missing pal Blake Shelton on The Voice.

During the Tuesday, Sept. 30 episode of the NBC singing competition show, Horan said he missed having the country star, 48, by his side in the coaching chairs.

“If I’m being really honest, I miss Shelton,” Horan, 32, said in a confessional.

Horan made his coaching debut on season 23, which marked Shelton’s last. At the time, the pair coached alongside Kelly Clarkson and Chance the Rapper.

This season, which marks Horan’s third as coach, “the unexpected happened.”

“Me and Snoop Dogg have become good neighbors and good friends,” the “This Town” singer said of his fellow season 28 coach.

Then, a clip of the coaches was shown, where the rapper and Horan burst into giggles after Snoop — who often snacks on Skittles during the show — sang “I’m sweet like Skittles.”

“He’s so funny. Like, he’s just having the best time ever,” Horan said.

The “Too Much to Ask” singer yelled out, “You have my heart Snoop. Forever. I love you Snoop.”

The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper, 53, yelled back, “I love you more.”

After Horan won season 23 of The Voice with contestant Gina Miles, he recalled the hilarious quip Shelton made to PEOPLE.

“When we left the seat, they announced the winner and I stood up, and then he came for a big hug,” Horan recalled with a laugh. “I gave him a big hug, and he said, ‘I taught you everything you know.’ That’s all he said, not congratulations or anything.”

Still, he knew he made a friend in the “Sangria” singer.

“I’m going to miss him. He is not one of those famous friends, in my eyes. I think if I had met him outside of The Voice, I would have probably been friends with him anyway,” Horan said. “Weirdly enough, we’ve got a lot in common, we’re quite similar people. Though not in dress sense.”

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. All episodes are available to stream the following day on Peacock.
