Kate Gosselin Accidentally Reveals New Boyfriend’s Name After Ex Jon, Son Collin Accuse Her of Affair

Kate Gosselin has revealed a new detail about her boyfriend’s identity.

The former reality star, 50, went live on TikTok from her hospital bed on Tuesday, Sept. 30, where she was getting treated for a broken leg. While her mystery man stayed behind the camera, Kate accidentally said his name for the first time publicly.

“Steve are you…” she began before realizing she slipped up. “Oops.”

“Okay, I’m gonna keep going,” she continued, making wide eyes at the camera. “I knew that was gonna happen. Whatever. It’s fine.”

As fans commented about the name drop, Kate shouted out those who were pretending they didn’t hear it.

“Thank you for not hearing anything,” she laughed, going on to finish her question to Steve about making a list of items she will need in recovery.

“Back to business,” she joked.

Kate’s name slip-up comes nearly one week after Page Six was the first to identify her new boyfriend as Steve Neild, who was the Gosselin family’s bodyguard she was previously accused of having an affair with in 2009. That was also the same year she got divorced from ex-husband Jon Gosselin.

When the affair allegations initially emerged, Kate vehemently denied things ever turned romantic with Neild. She called the reports “disgusting,” “unthinkable” and “unfathomable” and further noted that she was “horrified” by the gossip.

In the wake of recent reports linking them again, Kate’s ex-husband Jon and estranged son, Collin Gosselin, called her out publicly. Representatives for Kate did not immediately return PEOPLE’s request for comment.

“Guess who really ruined the marriage,” Jon wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday, Sept. 24, alongside screenshots of articles linking Kate to Neild.

Jon also shared “I told you all” on his Instagram Stories and added, “No one believed me – guess I was right!!!”

As for Colin, he launched several allegations against his mother and defended his father for how he was previously treated.

“What really upsets me is that my mom had an affair with our bodyguard way back in 2009, and for years would share hotel rooms with him while we went on family vacations, while I was in a connected room!” Collin wrote. “Now everyone thinks her being with him is some cute novel romance.”

“By the way my dad received death threats and got shunned by the public for years for ‘having an affair’ and ‘leaving his kids,'” he continued. “I hope she doesn’t try to play this one off. Just come forward and be truthful.”

Despite noting he’s “not big on the drama” and is “very busy” with college, Collin additionally claimed: “However, I feel very strongly on the matter of cheating and then blaming someone else for your own actions. Everyone says my dad and I are hung up on my mom. We are not. We have suffered the damage of a narcissist and cried together.”

Later, Collin appeared on social media again to extend his “formal invitation” for Kate “to do a lie detector” test. He added, “Then we’ll see who’s been lying straight to the public… I’m so serious by the way 😂.”

Elsewhere in her recent TikTok Live, Kate explained that she and Steve were taking their dogs for a walk when a game of ball with her puppy Meika ended in an injury.

“My boyfriend threw the ball and [dog Meika] came running for it and she was running at the absolute speed of light and I stepped the wrong way,” the Jon & Kate Plus 8 alum recalled. “I tried to get out of the way and she ran into the side of my leg, my knee, at top speed. The only way I can describe it, it was like a concrete wall running at the speed of light.” 

Kate said that she immediately fell and “the pain was so bad I just crumbled on the ground.” When she attempted to stand up, she “felt stuff move in my leg and I freaked out,” but she didn’t want to call for an ambulance because she “couldn’t afford” the expense.

“I kept waiting for the pain to wear off or dial down and it never did,” Kate added. “I’m gonna have to deal with bones floating around.”

After a while, she was able to hop to the car and Steve drove her to an urgent care facility before she was ultimately admitted to the hospital, where she was diagnosed “with a tibial plateau fracture” and had to get “surgery with plates and pins in my leg.”

“The surgeon said it was life-altering issues,” she revealed. “That was his opening line this morning at 5 a.m.: ‘So this is one of those things that is a life-altering event.’ I was like, he’s got my attention.”

The surgery lasted three hours, and Kate posted a photo from her hospital bed afterwards confirming it went well.

“I had surgery this morning and five pain meds on board (top 3 most painful surgery),” the mom of eight wrote. “CANNOT thank you enough for all your prayers! Love you guys!”
