Animal style burgers may be a popular option for diners at In-N-Out restaurants, but one employee uncovered a creature that’s decidedly not on the menu.
A staffer, who has not been publicly identified, located a “beautiful” python at the popular fast food chain’s drive-thru in Monrovia, Calif. on Monday, Sept. 29, Pasadena Humane said in a social media statement about the unexpected reptile.
“One of the employees made the surprising discovery and brought the snake to Pasadena Humane,” the organization said in the release. “At this time, we have not determined whether the snake is male or female.”
Pasadena Humane also noted the animal appears to have been “well taken care of, so it’s possible they only recently escaped their home.”

The group is now hoping to locate the snake’s owner. Photos from the organization show the python safely coiled on a white towel after it had been brought in.
