Alton Brown and Elizabeth Ingram are celebrating seven years of marriage!
The Food Network star penned a heartfelt message to his wife on Tuesday, Sept. 30, sharing a sweet photo of the couple with their dog, Abigail, on their wedding day.
The couple tied the knot on Sept. 29, 2018, on a boat in Charleston, South Carolina. In Brown’s caption, he noted that his post was a day late, and wrote: “So, I didn’t say anything yesterday because the world’s all whacked and the anniversary of two people doesn’t amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world,” he wrote.
“But, I want to publicly thank @elizabethingramstudio for signing up for this crazy mission, seven years ago yesterday,” Brown shared. “You’re the best.”
The interior designer replied in the comments, saying, “Awww. Wouldn’t have been on any other crazy journey with anyone else. Love you so much.❤️.”

The married couple first met in 2016 at a book signing for Brown’s EveryDayCook. Ingram admitted in a 2018 interview with Architectural Digest that she knew little about the Food Network star. However, Brown knew of the designer, and was a fan of her work. He later hired her to renovate his three-bedroom apartment.
Quickly, Brown and Ingram hit it off as they worked together on the seven-month-long renovation project, and soon a romantic relationship developed. “We benefitted from Pinterest, text, and getting to know each other that way,” Ingram told AD.

“At some point, meetings turned into dates,” added Brown. “I can’t put my finger on when it was—I started looking forward to seeing her more than the space.”
“I think we’ll be a good married couple because we already know what that collaboration looks like,” he said during the interview. “
Brown was previously married to DeAnna Brown, whom he divorced in 2015. They have one daughter together, Zoey, 26.
