On Sept. 29, Jason and Monica were briefly captured on camera during the Monday Night Football game between the Dolphins and Jets. While it may have seemed reminiscent of a recent “kiss cam” moment at a Coldplay concert, Jason and Monica have been married since Aug. 2020.

After the retired NFL player and fashion entrepreneur wed, they welcomed a son the following year. Since then, the pair have shared their lives on social media, including attending games together.

She was a Miami Dolphins cheerleader

Monica was born and raised in Miami with Cuban roots. Decades later, she became a cheerleader for her hometown team.

According to the website for her fundraising event, Monica’s Runway, Monica was a cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins from 2013 to 2017. She was also featured on the cover of the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders Calendar for three years in a row.

She runs her own fashion company

In 2020, Monica founded Monuit, a line of “modern-day sleepwear,” per Instagram. According to the company’s website, after Monica became a mom in 2021, she “wanted to design a line for women to feel confidently cozy in, all day, and all night.”

Monica is Monuit’s owner and chief executive operator, as well as the designer of the clothes in the collection.

In addition to Monuit, Monica is the vice president of the Jason Taylor Foundation and Monica’s Runway, a fashion fundraiser and runway show.

In 2024, the first Monica’s Runway event raised nearly $45,000 for the Jason Taylor Foundation Reading Room.

She and Jason have been married for five years

Monica and Jason wed on Aug. 18, 2020.

Monica publicly celebrated the special occasion with an emotional post on Instagram, wishing “happy anniversary” to her “soulmate.”

“I thank God for the love you’ve poured into me,” she wrote in the caption accompanying a carousel of images of her and Jason. “Your loyalty, support, love, and protection are beyond anything I could’ve dreamt of. I LOVE YOU!”

They have a son

The entrepreneur and retired professional athlete welcomed their son, Jordan, on July 30, 2021.

“The next chapter of our lives has begun,” she wrote on Instagram, announcing the arrival of their firstborn. “Welcome to the world Jordan Paul Taylor 🖤 Mama and Daddy are crazy in love with you. We prayed so much for you & we adore you!”

Jason and his ex-wife Katrina also welcomed three children together: Isaiah, Mason and Zoe.

On Sept. 29, Monica and Jason attended the NFL game between the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets, and they were featured on the ESPN broadcast.

The couple were seated in a private suite at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, where Monica was spotted sitting on Jason’s lap. When they realized the cameras were on them, Monica sat beside Jason.

They were at the game to watch Jason’s son, Mason, who plays for the Jets.
