Madonna and Lourdes Leon Have Rare Mother-Daughter Night Out at Paris Fashion Week

Madonna and Lourdes Leon are making their mark on Paris Fashion Week!

The mother-daughter duo attended Saint Laurent’s womenswear Spring/Summer 2026 runway show on Monday, Sept. 29, and matched in black on black ensembles for the fashionable night out.

The “Ray of Light” singer, 67, paired a belted, black leather button-down long-sleeve top with a sheer skirt and black sheer tights. The pop star completed the look with black sunglasses, two diamond-encrusted chains worn around her neck, a fur stole and pointed black patent leather heels.

Leon, 28, opted for a simple look — a black halter midi dress that draped elegantly across her body. She finished the look with sheer black tights and pointed black patent leather heels, just like her mother. Both women wore their hair parted down the center and in subtle waves that fell past their shoulders.

Madonna and Leon also had a sweet mother-daughter moment during their time on the carpet, with Leon air-kissing her mother and Madonna resting her head on her daughter’s shoulder.

The mother and daughter’s last fashion week outing took place in 2022 at the Tom Ford Spring 2023 Ready-to-Wear show.

The women also matched that night and sat next to each other in the front row for the show. Madonna opted for a black satin look with a plunging neckline that showed off a hint of cleavage, while Lourdes also went for a plunging scoop neck dress that showed off her tattoos.

Madonna and Leon’s most recent fashion show attendance comes amid the dancer making her way into the fashion industry as a model. In a 2021 feature with Interview, she revealed what her famous mother thought of her modeling and fashion aspirations.

“She’s very much like, ‘Proceed with caution and think about what you want to be known for,’ ” Leon said. “I’ve thought a lot about that recently, because as a “model,” you’re basically relying on your looks. It can feel very overwhelming, and can potentially cause a lot of insecurity.”

“Obviously, you’re not going to look the same your whole life,” Leon continued. “My mom is very insistent on making me think about what I want to be known for beyond my looks. That’s not what I want people to remember me by. It’s not real.”

She also explained that she wants people within the fashion industry to have more control over their image.

“I want to create a world in which models have more agency over what they’re doing, and they’re not just silent clothing racks,” Leon added. “That’s the age that we’re coming into in the fashion world: models as personalities and artists.”
