Kate Gosselin’s Mysterious Boyfriend Makes His TikTok Debut

Kate Gosselin‘s new boyfriend made his debut in her most recent TikTok Live — well, at least part of him did.

During the 50-year-old former reality star’s Sept. 26 livestream, a man’s hand enters the frame to hand Kate a latte, with her thanking him and noting that it was “yummy.”

Kate told her followers that her boyfriend — who is rumored to be Steve Neild, her family’s former bodyguard, with whom she previously denied having an affair in 2009 — was “very kind” for making her a beverage, as she didn’t have time before she began streaming.

The interaction delighted Kate’s followers, who commented on his presence and received a wave from off-camera.

“Can you do a live with your boyfriend in the future?” Kate said, reading one fan’s comment, answering, “He’s not very fond. I won’t rule it out but, you know, he’s not overly crazy about this whole thing. We’ll see.”

Responding to one person’s comment that she deserves to be treated like a queen, Kate replied, “I agree.”

“So many want to see him,” she said, reacting to the requests for her boyfriend to show himself. “Are you listening to all this?” she said, looking over to where her beau was seemingly sitting.

When one person wrote that they “love this Kate era,” Kate herself weighed in, saying, “Yeah, this is a good Kate era. I agree. It’s very nice to be happy.”

Kate first revealed during a TikTok Q&A on Sept. 22, that she has been dating someone for “a little over a year” and was “super, super happy” in her new relationship.

While she didn’t reveal the identity of the new man in her life at the time, she did confirm “it’s somebody that I’ve known for a really long time” and reiterated that she is “very, very happy.”

Kate also said her new beau “doesn’t really want to be in TikToks” and that she “can’t blame him” for that, but teased that her followers “perhaps will catch a peep of him, here and there, once in a while, going forward” on her social media.

Just two days later, Kate’s ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, and one of their sextuplets, Collin, took to their respective Instagrams to react to rumors that Kate was dating Neild, which was first reported by Page Six.

“Guess who really ruined the marriage,” Jon, 48, wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday, Sept. 24, alongside screenshots of articles linking Kate to Neild. “Maybe when I speak people will listen now!!!”

At the time of the allegations, Kate denied things ever turning romantic with Neild, calling the reports “disgusting,” “unthinkable” and “unfathomable,” and added that she was “horrified” by the gossip. She and Jon, who married in 1999, divorced in 2009, the same year as the cheating rumors.

“I told you all,” Jon wrote in an Instagram Stories post, adding in another, “No one believed me – guess I was right!!!”

The former couple’s son Collin, with whom she’s estranged, had much more to say on the matter.

In a lengthy statement he shared across several Instagram Stories, Collin launched a flurry of allegations against his mother and defended his father for how he was treated in the past.

“What really upsets me is that my mom had an affair with our bodyguard way back in 2009, and for years would share hotel rooms with him while we went on family vacations, while I was in a connected room!” he wrote. “Now everyone thinks her being with him is some cute novel romance.”

“By the way my dad received death threats and got shunned by the public for years for ‘having an affair’ and ‘leaving his kids,'” Collin continued.  “I hope she doesn’t try to play this one off. Just come forward and be truthful.”

Collin noted that he’s “not big on the drama” and is “very busy” with college, work and running his business, so he didn’t want his followers to think he “feed[s] on this.”

“However, I feel very strongly on the matter of cheating and then blaming someone else for your own actions,” he explained. “Everyone says my dad and I are hung up on my mom. We are not. We have suffered the damage of a narcissist and cried together.”

Collin ended his statement by saying he and Jon won’t “act reformed when we still feel pain from our past” and added a broken-heart emoji before saying “I love you dad.”

The next day, Collin leaned in even further and shared an Instagram Stories post saying he wanted to take a lie detector test with his mom about her new boyfriend.

“This is my formal invitation to do a lie detector test with my mom lolll 😂,” he wrote. “Then we’ll see who’s been lying straight to the public… I’m so serious by the way 😂.”

PEOPLE had reached out to Kate’s representatives for comment.

Kate and Jon share twins Cara and Mady, now 24, and sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel and Leah, now 21. Their family rose to prominence on the reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8, which began in 2007 and ended its initial run following Kate and Jon’s divorce in 2009. 

The mom of eight has been connecting with fans on her TikTok in recent months, giving her more than 250,000 followers an inside look at her life away from the TV cameras.
