Alix Earle is putting in the work behind the scenes for Dancing with the Stars.

On Sept. 27, the popular influencer posted a video to her TikTok account, providing viewers with an update on how things are going as she prepares to take the stage once again on the third episode of this season of Dancing with the Stars.

In the video, the SipMARGS founder and her partner DWTS pro Val Chmerkovskiy can be seen in the Dancing with the Stars rehearsal room, attempting what appears to be a very technical, two-person cartwheel.

In the background, Chmerkovskiy’s niece Hailey Bills looks on as the pair attempts the move. Unfortunately for the pair, the move doesn’t seem to go as well as they might have hoped.

The two come crashing down in slow-motion, as the song “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” by Starship plays over the clip.

The pair attempts the move again in a second clip, where Chmerkovskiy goes flying over Alix’s head. In the first clip, he can be seen making sure his partner is alright before the two get up to try again.

Despite the dramatic nature of the fall, the pair didn’t seem to be taking it too hard, laughing as they recovered on the floor.

Bills can be seen visibly cringing in both clips as the two dancers fall to the ground. Earle, for her part, captioned the video “HAHAHAH,” showing that despite the toll of the dance moves, she remained in good spirits.

The influencer has also opened up on her TikTok about some of the more impactful physical tolls that rehearsing for the show each week has taken on her body.

On Sunday, Sept. 21, the TikTok star gave a closer look at the physical toll that dance practice has had on her in a post on social media.

“I have bruises on my collarbone,” the internet personality revealed in the video on TikTok as she ran a bath for herself. “My toenail came off during practice today.”

Earle continued: “I thought week one was hard — the stamina, the stuff we’re doing, I’m like, ‘I don’t even know.’”

On the show’s season premiere, Earle and Chmerkovskiy performed a cha-cha to the Britney Spears hit “Circus,” complete with a whip and a ring of actual flames. Each celebrity dancer picked a song that they felt was a strong representation of their personalities.

On the second episode, the pair performed a jive to “Mambo No. 5” by Lou Bega for “One-Hit Wonders Night.”

Earle and Chmerkovskiy will return to the stage on Tuesday, Sept. 30, for the show’s “TikTok Night,” sure to be entertaining with multiple social media stars — including Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ stars Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck and Dylan Efron — competing on this installment of the reality dance competition.

Breakout social media star Charli D’Amelio, who competed on the 31st season of Dancing With the Stars alongside pro Mark Ballas and won, will also return for the night.

Before she took to the stage this season, D’Amelio gave Earle some advice as a fellow content creator, saying that she hopes Earle and future generations of social media-savvy DWTS contestants give their content output a little more thought, even if it’s just to document the precious memories.

“I would say share as much of the journey as possible. I still will look back on the old videos of rehearsal times and all of the fun that we had and just enjoy every moment,” D’Amelio advised.

“It truly is so, so, so much fun, and that is one of my favorite things that I’ve ever accomplished.”
