- Over the years, 26 people have taken home the grand prize

The 27th season of Big Brother is coming to a close.
On Sept. 28, host Julie Chen Moonves will crown a winner from finalists Vince Panaro, Morgan Pope and Ashley Hollis, who will take home the $750,000 grand prize. Based on the Dutch show of the same name, the social experiment sees contestants — also known as houseguests — living together away from the outside world while voting one another out. The victor is selected from a jury of evicted houseguests.
Over the years, 26 people have taken home the grand prize, with the most recent being Chelsie Baham, who won unanimously in October 2024. When asked what she wanted to spend the prize money on, she told Entertainment Weekly at the time that she wanted to give back.
“I want to continue to serve my local community. Now, financially, I would love to pay for somebody’s college tuition,” she said. “This money is not all mine. I may buy me a nice purse and some ice cream and cuddle with my dog.”
