Swift previously debuted other vinyl variants for the album, such as “The Crowd is Your King,” “Baby, That’s Show Business,” “Tiny Bubbles in Champagne” and “Shiny Bug.”
Each vinyl cover features Swift posing in glamorous costumes and dramatic make-up — and, of course, the highly anticipated 12 new songs.
On Friday, Sept. 19, Swift announced that the Official Release Party of a Showgirl would take place the first weekend that her album is out. “I hereby invite you to a *dazzling* soirée, The Official Release Party of a Showgirl: Oct 3 – Oct 5 only in cinemas!” she wrote on Instagram.
“You’ll get to see the exclusive world premiere of the music video for my new single “The Fate of Ophelia”, along with never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage of how we made it, cut-by-cut explanations of what inspired this music, and the brand new lyric videos from my new album The Life of a Showgirl ❤️🔥.”
The “Cruel Summer” singer also encouraged fans to dress up and dance during the move event. “Looks like it’s time to brush off that Eras Tour outfit or orange cardigan … Tickets are on sale now. Dancing is optional but very much encouraged 💃.”

Swift announced The Life of a Showgirl during an appearance on her fiancé Travis Kelce and brother Jason Kelce‘s podcast New Heights in August and revealed her inspiration for the upcoming album.
“It feels like kind of energetically how my life has felt,” she said. “And this album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during [The Eras Tour], which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant.”
The “Fortnight” singer also spoke about the album cover, which featured Swift partially submerged in water wearing shimmering jewels. “My day ends with me in a bathtub, not usually in a bedazzled dress.”
“I wanted to sort of, like, glamorize all the different aspects of how that tour felt, and that’s how that felt to be at the end of the night when all this has gone down,” added Swift.
