All About Ole Miss Head Coach Lane Kiffin’s 3 Kids
NEED TO KNOW
- Lane Kiffin is the head football coach at Ole Miss
- He shares three kids with his ex-wife, Layla Kiffin
- Landry is dating Whit Weeks, a linebacker on Lane’s rival team, the Louisiana State University (LSU) Tigers
Winning on the football field is important to Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, but his true priority lies off the sidelines.
Lane and his ex-wife, Layla Kiffin, welcomed three children: daughters Landry and Presley in 2004 and 2006, respectively, and son Monte Knox in 2009. Lane and Layla ultimately divorced in 2016 — after Lane moved from Los Angeles to Alabama to be the offensive coordinator for the University of Alabama, while Layla and the children stayed behind.
By 2020, Kiffin had relocated to Oxford, Miss., to take over as head coach of the football team at Ole Miss. Landry moved to Oxford for her senior year of high school and now attends Ole Miss, while Layla and Knox followed in 2025, per ESPN. Lane has since posted about his former wife, including a snap of her on the sidelines at an Ole Miss game and what appeared to be an anniversary celebration.
“He’s more involved with us now that he’s at Ole Miss,” Knox shared in September 2025’s E60: The Many Lives of Lane Kiffin. “He’s just been a whole different person, really.”
Lane is no stranger to making headlines, but Landry was the most recent Lane family member to steal the spotlight when she announced her relationship with Whit Weeks — a linebacker on Lane’s rival team, the Louisiana State University (LSU) Tigers — in September 2025.
Here’s everything to know about Lane Kiffin’s kids: Landry, Presley and Monte Knox.

Lane and Layla welcomed their first child, daughter Landry, on Dec. 13, 2004.
After spending three years of high school in L.A. — where her father once coached at the University of Southern California (USC) — Landry moved to Oxford, Miss., for her senior year. For Lane, the transition marked what he called his “second chance at being an in-person parent.”
“I hadn’t lived with him since before he went to Alabama [in 2014]. We definitely got a lot closer than we had ever been,” Landry shared in E60: The Many Lives of Lane Kiffin.
Following two successful seasons at Ole Miss, Lane weighed the possibility of taking another head coaching job, but Landry persuaded him to stay.
“Me and my friends, we made this slideshow collage to a song we knew he would find sad and just really re-think his decision,” she explained in the documentary. “We came into the office and then set it up on a movie projector screen, and we were like, ‘We have something to show you. Come in here.’ Then he sat down, and we played it, and he was crying. After that, he told us he was gonna stay, so it worked.”
Lane added, “Sometimes you need your kids to point things out to you, and just remind you of some things. That was very impactful. I’m not saying I was going [to leave] — I was deciding — but that made the decision for me.”
Landry is currently pursuing a degree in business administration at Ole Miss and is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, according to her LinkedIn.
However, she’s dating someone from a rival school — Weeks, a linebacker for LSU. They announced their relationship on Instagram in September 2025.
Presley Kiffin, 18

Lane and Layla’s second child, daughter Presley, arrived on Oct. 19, 2006.
In March 2024, Presley committed to play volleyball at USC — the same university where her dad once coached football.
“I am beyond grateful to announce that I will be continuing my athletic and academic career at the University of Southern California,” she wrote on Instagram. “I want to thank all my coaches, family [and] friends for their incredible support and guidance throughout the past couple years. So excited be a Trojan!”
She’s currently in her freshman season, playing outside hitter, and is majoring in communications, according to her USC athlete bio.
Monte Knox Kiffin, 16

Lane and Layla welcomed their third child, son Monte Knox, on Jan. 13, 2009 — shortly before relocating to Knoxville, Tenn., where Lane had accepted the head coaching job at the University of Tennessee.
Knox’s name is both a nod to the home of the Volunteers and Lane’s dad, Monte Kiffin, who is considered one of the greatest defensive coordinators in NFL history. Monte died in 2024 at age 84.
“We knew we wanted a name that started with ‘K.’ I knew we were going to be moving to Knoxville, and I thought, ‘Is that bad if we name him Knox?’ [Lane] said, ‘No, I think it’s great,’ ” Layla said in May 2009 during an interview with the Knoxville News Sentinel.
Knox has followed in his dad’s footsteps as a quarterback with dreams of playing collegiate ball. He spent his freshman year of high school in L.A. before moving to Mississippi and joining the team at Oxford High School.
As a 2028 prospect, he already has offers to play at several colleges, including Southern Methodist University, Sacramento State and Florida International University, according to Instagram.
