Reese Witherspoon Celebrates Her Son Tennessee’s 13th Birthday with Photos

Reese Witherspoon’s son is entering his teenage years — what, like it’s hard?

The actress, 49, shared a series of photos of her son Tennessee on her Instagram on Friday, Sept. 26 in honor of his 13th birthday. In one photo, the newly minted teenager could be seen sporting bleached hair while at a meal with his mom.

Other photos show Witherspoon and her son on vacation, posing on a boat and later in Italy. “How is possible that my youngest boy is 13?!” Witherspoon asked in her caption.

“He never ceases to amaze me with his joyfulmess [sic], his brilliant sense of humor and his endless curiosity. I love you so much , Tenn ! 💙.”

Witherspoon shares her son Tennessee with ex-husband Jim Toth. She is also mom to son Deacon, 21, and daughter Ava, 26, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

Witherspoon recently shared that she’s had to adjust her parenting with her youngest child after her older two made her “exhausted.”

In a Sept. 20 episode of The Interview, the actress and producer said that after parenting for more than 25 years, she is a little worn out. After the topic of motherhood arose during the podcast episode, titled “How Reese Witherspoon Figured Out Who She Really Is,” host Lulu Garcia-Navarro asked if she is “different as a parent this time around.”

“Oh, for sure. I’m exhausted,” the mom of three said. “I’m completely wrung-out and tired.”

“Whenever I lose my cool,” she said, “I turn to my youngest and I go, ‘You got to call your brother and sister. They wore me out.’ I’m so tired. Like, eat the cookie. Go to bed late. Just do it, you know, but like, think about how it’s going to make you feel.”

“And then like beyond that, I’m so tired,” she added. “I’ve been parenting for 25 years.”

This past May, Witherspoon shared that her younger son has a unique name for her — and she doesn’t know why.

In a video shared on TikTok and Instagram, the actress listed the names by which different people know her, following a popular social media trend.

Some of the names included were “R Dubs,” which her friends know her as, and “Ladybug,” which her mother calls her. Other names included were “Pieces,” which she is referred to by her high school friends, and “Miss Reese,” which is the name her friends’ children have for her.

” ‘Morty’ to my youngest *no clue why 🤷‍♀️ ,” Witherspoon wrote, referring to Tennessee.
