The singer, songwriter and actress — best known for her role as cheerleader Addison Wells in Disney’s Zombies franchise— will make her Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, stepping into the role of Satine, the glittering nightclub star and tragic heroine made famous by Nicole Kidman on screen.
For Donnelly, the milestone moment is fulfillment of a lifelong wish. “I cannot believe I am saying the words, I am making my Broadway debut. WHAT,” Donnelly, 25, said in a statement. “I have been dreaming of this moment since birth, and it is hard to fathom it is even real.”
“I am beyond excited to play Satine and to be joining this incredible show, cast, and crew,” she continued. “You can tell it is truly family at Moulin Rouge! The Musical, everyone has been extremely welcoming & supportive.”
“Ah! I am so happy to be surrounded by theatre kids again. I am coming home!,” Donnelly added. “This whole time I keep picturing what little me would be thinking!? I am doing this for her.”

The stage production of Moulin Rouge!, based on Baz Luhrmann‘s 2001 Oscar-winning film, opened on Broadway in 2019 and went on to win 10 Tony Awards including Best Musical. The show has since become an international hit, playing to more than 10 million audience members around the world.
Directed by Tony winner Alex Timbers with a book by John Logan, Moulin Rouge! The Musical combines iconic songs from the film with new chart-topping hits released since its premiere.
Donnelly joins a long line of stars who have stepped into the sparkling production.
Earlier this month, PEOPLE exclusively revealed that RuPaul’s Drag Race winner and The Traitors breakout Bob the Drag Queen will join the show, as master of ceremonies Harold Zidler. Bob will share the stage with Donnelly, with an eight-week limited engagement beginning Jan. 27, 2026 and continuing through March 22, 2026.
Meanwhile, Donnelly’s longtime Zombies costar Milo Manheim also hit the stage this year. The actor and Dancing with the Stars runner-up led the Off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors.
