It was only a week ago, on Thursday, Sept. 18, when Yolanda detailed the treatment that her daughter was undergoing for Lyme disease.
“As you will understand watching my Bella struggle in silence, has cut the deepest core of hopelessness inside me,” Yolanda wrote on Instagram. “The invisible disability of chronic neurological Lyme disease is hard to explain or understand for anyone.”
Yolanda, who was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012, said that she tries to “lead by example on our Lyme journey but my own pain cannot compare to watching my baby suffer.”
She said that she has stopped sharing her story to “focus on healing,” referring to herself as the “CEO of my health.”

Yolanda credited Bella as being “relentless and courageous,” noting that she admires her daughter’s “bravery and your willingness to keep fighting for health despite the failing protocols and countless setbacks you have faced.”
The proud mom has said that Bella has lived through “darkness,” “pain,” and an “unknown hell” since receiving her diagnosis in 2013. She said that Bella “fought through another month of treatment” and prayed for her speedy recovery.
