Unlike her husband, who has lived in the public eye since rising to fame, Batalucco remains mostly out of the spotlight, and her Instagram profile is private.
She first appeared on Burd’s Instagram in October 2022, when he shared two sweet photos with Batalucco (and one of her sleeping!), captioned, “I’m in love!!!!!”
Despite having a private social media presence, she has stepped out with her beau on a few occasions. In October 2024, she stepped out with Burd at the 2nd Annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit in Los Angeles in support of Selena Gomez, who is engaged to his close friend Benny Blanco.

During his appearance on the Zach Sang Show, Burd shared that they met through one of the head writers, Vanessa, on his TV show, Dave.
“I was just like endlessly online dating and not meeting anyone,” he said, adding that he didn’t think it was “worth” continuing to date people that he didn’t see as his “wife.”
Burd explained that Batalucco was previously in a five-year relationship, joking that she was “never a free agent.” When Batalucco and her partner split, Vanessa told Burd that they were a “good match.”
Prior to being set up, the actor was exploring the dating scene. During his April 2023 appearance on the Elvis Duran Show, he described himself as the “king” of dating apps.
“I don’t think that you know anybody who went on more online dates than me, from like 2014 to 2020. Once a week at least,” he said. “Every week I was on the apps, I was setting up a date, and I would think to myself, ‘Is this the week where I meet the one?’ ”
They bonded during the COVID-19 pandemic

Elsewhere in his conversation with radio host Zach Sang, Burd explained that the COVID-19 pandemic began just after his first meeting with Batalucco, which forced them to “hang out all the time, just us.”
“My mom always said, ‘Your view of love is so ridiculous. It’s all about meeting the right person at the right time,’ ” Burd recalled. “I think my mother was right in this instance, because the pandemic forced me to slow down and give a relationship a real shot.”
Burd also had some sweet words to say about Batalucco during his appearance on the Zach Sang Show.
“She’s like the funniest, most beautiful, most charming person ever,” he said, adding that it “feels good” to have “checked off that box” of finding a partner.

During an April 2023 interview with iHeartRadio, Burd shared that he was thankful to have found “the one.”
“I have a girlfriend that I’m obsessed with. But before I met her, I was definitely like dating for five to seven years, really actively looking for a girlfriend, looking for my wife,” he said. “It was a huge part of my life. There wasn’t a night that I went out that my main focus wasn’t like, ‘Am I gonna meet her tonight?’ ”
“I’m a hopeless romantic,” he said.
