Kate Gosselin‘s estranged son Collin is publicly calling her out over her rumored new boyfriend.

Collin — one of Kate’s sextuplets she shares with ex-husband Jon Gosselin — took to his Instagram Stories on Thursday, Sept. 25, to invite his mom to take a polygraph test with him regarding the rumors that she is dating Steve Neild, her family’s former bodyguard she denied having an affair with in 2009.

“This is my formal invitation to do a lie detector test with my mom lolll 😂,” he wrote. “Then we’ll see who’s been lying straight to the public… I’m so serious by the way 😂.”

Collin’s post came just one day after he previously called out Kate over the reports of her dating Neild, which were first reported by Page Six.

In a lengthy statement he shared across several Instagram Stories, Collin launched a flurry of allegations against his mother and defended his father for how he was treated in the past.

“What really upsets me is that my mom had an affair with our bodyguard way back in 2009, and for years would share hotel rooms with him while we went on family vacations, while I was in a connected room!” he claimed. “Now everyone thinks her being with him is some cute novel romance.”

“By the way my dad received death threats and got shunned by the public for years for ‘having an affair’ and ‘leaving his kids,'” Collin continued.  “I hope she doesn’t try to play this one off. Just come forward and be truthful.”

Collin noted that he’s “not big on the drama” and is “very busy” and didn’t want his followers to think he “feed[s] on this.”

“However, I feel very strongly on the matter of cheating and then blaming someone else for your own actions,” he explained. “Everyone says my dad and I are hung up on my mom. We are not. We have suffered the damage of a narcissist and cried together.”

Kate did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Collin added that he and Jon won’t “act reformed when we still feel pain from our past” and added a broken-heart emoji before saying “I love you dad.”

He also took aim at Kate’s claim during a TikTok Q&A on Monday, Sept. 22, that she has been dating her new — and as of yet unnamed — boyfriend for “a little over a year.”

“You’ve BEEN with him,” Collin alleged. “You told me I broke our family when you couldn’t stay true to my dad. I’m not here to shame you. But you don’t understand the fact that dad and I have cried together from all the hurt. I’m done staying quiet.”

Jon also shared a reaction to the rumored relationship. “Guess who really ruined the marriage,” he wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday, Sept. 24, alongside screenshots of articles linking Kate to Neild. “Maybe when I speak people will listen now!!!”

At the time of the allegations, Kate denied things ever turning romantic with Neild, calling the reports “disgusting,” “unthinkable” and “unfathomable.” Kate also noted she was “horrified” by the gossip. She and Jon, who married in 1999, divorced in 2009, the same year as the cheating rumors.

When revealing she is currently dating, Kate also shared during the Q&A that she is “super, super happy” in her new relationship.

And while she didn’t reveal the identity of the new man in her life at the time, she did confirm “it’s somebody that I’ve known for a really long time” and reiterated that she is “very, very happy.”

Kate also said her man “doesn’t really want to be in TikToks” and that she “can’t blame him” for that, but teased that her followers “perhaps will catch a peep of him, here and there, once in a while, going forward” on her social media.

Kate and Jon rose to fame with their reality TV show Jon & Kate Plus 8, which chronicled their life with their twins Cara and Mady, now 24, and sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel and Leah, now 21. The show ran from 2007 until 2009, the year Kate and Jon divorced.
